Art 4 Takayna 2026
This year in April, I was so fortunate to be chosen to be part of the Art 4 Takayna 2026 Artist in Residency program, hosted and funded by the Bob Brown Foundation. Held deep in takayna (the Tarkine rainforest) in lutruwita, Tasmania.
It was truly an experience of a lifetime.
Immersed in the rainforest, camping amongst ancient Myrtles and ferns, I was so lucky to be amongst a group of passionate artists creating magic in a forest in dire need of our protection. One of the pieces of work I created is below.
The exhibition will be held in nipaluna, Hobart from June 11-22nd, 2026, at the Long Gallery, Salamanca.
Come see the incredible works that have been created!

ANNA FOLETTA
I respectfully recognise and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land in which this book and my writing takes place. I pay my respects to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, who are the custodians of the land where I live and work, and their Elders past, present and emerging.
I am committed to honouring Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society.
It always was, and always will be Aboriginal land.
