A Somewhat Wild Place

A$50.00

'A Somewhat Wild Place" is the story of one woman’s dedication, enthusiasm and passion to rewild a small pocket of old sheep farming country, and return it to the grassy woodlands that it once was.

After meticulously keeping field journals for twenty-five years, and illustrating the flora and fauna of the property, this book shares the story of Pru Ervin and her incredible journey of attention and care for the natural world.

Beautifully illustrated by Pru herself and written by her daughter Anna, this book is not only a record of an incredible restoration project, but also a collaboration of like-minded souls.

Released on October 18, 2026.

Books will be posted on the 19th October, 2026.

I respectfully recognise and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which I live, write, play and work. I pay my respects to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, and their Elders past, present and emerging.

I am committed to honouring Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society.

It always was, and always will be Aboriginal land.
